Optional add-on

A simple admin area for small website edits without touching code.

Give clients a protected, form-based admin area for low-risk updates such as hours, specials, seasonal content, FAQs, service blurbs, and selected photos.

What this includes

A scoped build that stays understandable.

Email-code login for approved client admins.

Predefined editable fields for hours, announcements, seasonal content, FAQs, service blurbs, and selected photos.

Cloudflare-backed storage for approved edits so clients are not changing code or layout.

Static fallback content in the codebase so the site remains useful if the API is unavailable.

Clear handoff instructions and one harmless client test edit before access cleanup.

Questions

Clear answers before scope approval.

Is this a page builder?

No. The admin add-on is intentionally limited to approved content slots. Clients cannot edit layout, colors, typography, navigation, raw HTML, custom forms, or integrations.

Can it be added later?

Yes, but it is cleanest when the original site was built with editable content slots. Retrofitting an older static site may require a paid migration.

How much does it cost?

Admin Lite (a few approved fields like hours, a special, or an announcement) is $150. A full editable admin with image uploads and broader fields starts at $400 and is quoted by scope.

What if I'd rather not deal with logins?

That's fine. Most clients skip the admin and just send Dave an update request or buy a prepaid support block. There is no required monthly contract either way.

Where does the edited content live?

On Cloudflare-backed storage that the site reads at request time, with a static fallback baked into the codebase. If the storage layer is ever unavailable, the site still shows the last-known good content.

Will my edits break the site?

No. Editable fields are intentionally fenced off — text-only fields with length limits, predefined photo slots, etc. There is no way to break the layout, colors, or navigation from the admin.

Start the conversation

Tell Dave about your business and what your first version should include.

Send the basics about your business, your current website situation, and the action you want customers to take first. Dave reviews it and follows up within 1 business day with the next step.

What happens when you reach out

  • · Dave reads the form personally and replies to set up a short call by phone or video.
  • · The call is about 15 minutes. Dave reviews your Facebook page, Google Business Profile, or current site beforehand so you don't have to walk him through the basics.
  • · Rough notes are fine — you don't need to prepare anything technical or write polished copy.
  • · No obligation, no same-call payment, no upsell. You'll leave knowing whether a simple site is enough, what it would cost, and whether doing nothing for now is the right call.

Messages go to hello@davetheweb.guru. No payment details, passwords, or private account credentials should be sent through this form. If you do not have a domain yet, that is fine; we can choose one together.
